Why Train With Me

For over 32 years, I’ve welcomed traumatised rescue dogs into my life – nurturing them with patience, safety, and love. Two of those dogs, including my Collie who was just seven days from being put to sleep, have gone on to become certified therapy dogs and my current Collie is a therapy dog in the making.

Alongside Nala and shaped by 21 years in child protection and trauma-aware work, I bring an emotionally intelligent and deeply respectful approach to therapy dog training. I will never set a dog up to fail: if your dog’s temperament isn’t suited to therapy work, I’ll let you know with kindness and clarity.

Not all dogs are destined to be therapy dogs, but with the right training and environment, many can thrive beyond expectation.
